About this course
Modern infrastructure is configured as code, and this course brings BIG-IP into that world, covering the declarative and automation approaches that replace manual, click-by-click configuration. It addresses the Application Services 3 (AS3) declarative model for describing BIG-IP configuration as data, the iControl REST API underneath it, and using Ansible to drive BIG-IP automation repeatably. Students learn to express configuration declaratively, build automation that is idempotent and version-controlled, and fit BIG-IP into a CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code workflow.
Reflects the unified automation course consolidating the former AS3 and Ansible offerings.
