The Salvador, Bahia security conference - technically oriented, community-run, and one of two annual security events the Bahian community sustains.
Bahia is the clearest counter-example to the assumption that Brazilian security lives in the southeast. The local community is strong enough to support both Nullbyte and a second event, plus the Oxum Sec gathering, which in a country where most technical work is concentrated in two states is a genuine achievement of organising rather than of funding.
