Describe the path as you believe it runs

Describe the path as you believe it runs; a fixed 27-rule registry builds the model: the hop chain, side-flows, TLS segments, transformation points - and the failure-domain candidates the ambiguities imply. The map is a proposed model, never discovered topology, and unknowns stay visibly unknown.
