Grupo IHC - a consultancy, a school and an integrator
Brazilian group whose three companies were founded in sequence, each out of the one before.
Grupo IHC is the Brazilian group formed by HighCast, founded in 2003 as a network consultancy; inLearn Educacao, created by HighCast's partners in 2008 as an official training centre for Juniper, F5 Networks and others; and a third company in 2010, the integrator now trading as CYLK.
The sequence is the point, and it is unusual enough to record. Most groups are assembled by acquisition; this one grew by each company creating the next out of a demand the previous one had generated - consulting produced a demand for training, and consulting plus training produced a demand for someone to implement and run what was designed and taught.
A note on the name, because it is a trap. Grupo IHC also matches a construction-systems company in Chihuahua and a Brazilian home-care and ambulance group, neither related to this one. The group's own material adds a further warning: the domain ihcinformatica.com.br has no connection to IHC Solucoes em Informatica, whose official domain is cylk.com.br.
