e-Safer - cybersecurity and fraud, together
Brazilian security firm whose practice pairs cybersecurity with fraud prevention.
e-Safer works cybersecurity and fraud prevention as one practice, across managed security services, penetration testing, application security assessment, threat intelligence, managed detection and response, vulnerability management, a SOC, zero trust and governance.
The pairing in its own description is the interesting choice. Fraud and cybersecurity are usually separate departments with separate budgets and separate reporting lines - one answers to risk and the other to technology - and they investigate the same events from different sides, frequently without sharing what they found.
In Brazilian financial services in particular, that separation is expensive: a credential compromise is a security incident until money moves, at which point it becomes a fraud case, and the evidence needed to understand it sits on both sides of a line drawn by an organisation chart.
