Sao Paulo's CitySec - the informal monthly bar meetup of the city's security professionals and enthusiasts, third Wednesday of the month.
SampaSec follows the CitySec model - the informal, no-agenda security meetup format that spread worldwide from the idea of Richard Bejtlich, Chris Walsh, and Adam Shostack - and has anchored Sao Paulo's scene since around 2010, alongside Brazilian siblings like CamSec (Campinas), PoASec (Porto Alegre), and SSASec (Salvador). No talks required, no badge, no dress code: the point is the room - students, veterans, researchers, and the occasional recruiter, around a table. It is the connective tissue between the city's bigger fixtures: many a BSidesSP village, YSTS hallway conversation, and Garoa project traces back to a SampaSec table.
