The Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalogue (C5) was introduced by Germany's Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) to give a consistent, auditable baseline for cloud providers serving the German market. An auditor attests against the catalogue; the result is widely recognized across German and EU public and private sectors - the German counterpart to schemes like ENS (Spain) and IRAP (Australia) that cluster on multinational trust centers.
