DDI vendor whose positioning leads with DNS security rather than address management.
EfficientIP sells DDI and leads with DNS security, which is a different emphasis from the same underlying product category: the same records, presented as an attack surface to be defended rather than an inventory to be managed.
Both framings are accurate and they attract different buyers. Address management is bought by network operations to stop addresses colliding; DNS security is bought by a security team to stop exfiltration through a protocol nobody blocks.
The second framing is the one that grew, because DNS is permitted outbound almost everywhere by necessity, and a channel that is always open is a channel worth watching.
