Adistec - distribution written for a region, not a country
Value-added distributor for Latin America and the Caribbean, founded 2002, headquartered in Miami.
Adistec is a value-added distributor covering Latin America and the Caribbean from a base in Miami, founded in 2002, carrying cybersecurity, networking, storage, virtualisation, cloud and data centre lines.
Miami as the headquarters for a Latin American distributor is not an accident of preference. It is where a company can hold dollars, buy from United States manufacturers on United States terms, and sell into a dozen jurisdictions with different tax regimes and import rules - which is most of what value-added distribution actually is once the marketing is set aside.
The other half is enablement, and its announcements say so plainly: partner activation, technical and commercial training, demand generation. A distributor of this kind is not primarily moving boxes; it is manufacturing the capability of the resellers who will move them, because a manufacturer with no certified local partners has no market regardless of how good the product is.
